The Milk Journey
At Pharmalys Laboratories, the milk journey starts at carefully selected farms, ensuring quality from the very beginning. Each stage—from collection to processing—is meticulously managed to maintain the milk's natural purity and nutrient richness, delivering an exceptional foundation for infant nutrition

Full-Cycle Production:
From Fresh Milk to Dry Mixes
Our Process
Cows are milked twice daily, with the milk flowing directly from the milking machine into a cooling tank where it’s promptly chilled to 3–4°C. The milk producer ensures that the milking machine is thoroughly cleaned after each milking session to maintain hygiene and quality standards
Every two days, a milk tanker collects fresh milk directly from the farm. The driver takes a quality sample from each tank to ensure consistency. Upon arrival at the factory, an initial quality inspection is performed, followed by additional monthly tests for each farm. These tests assess key criteria such as bacterial levels, cell counts, inhibitors, and freezing points to maintain high standards of purity and quality
Every day, dozens of milk tankers deliver their valuable cargo to one of our many collection points, ensuring a steady supply of fresh, high-quality milk
A control sample is taken from each milk delivery, with quality checks including sensory tests for appearance, smell, and taste, alongside rapid screening for inhibitors (such as antibiotics) and temperature verification. The milk then moves from the tanker to intermediate storage and is processed on the same day to ensure maximum freshness
The first step is to stabilize the milk using a centrifuge, which adjusts the milk's fat content to balance seasonal variations. This stabilization process is paired with pasteurization—a brief, protective heat treatment that eliminates pathogenic bacteria and deactivates enzymes that could otherwise negatively affect the fats and protein content in powdered milk during storage
Filtration separates the milk into its natural components using molecular filters, allowing each element to be precisely adjusted and optimally utilized in formulation recipes. This process results in concentrated lactose and milk proteins, ready for specialized applications
In the stabilization process, milk is gently condensed to 50% dry matter through a vacuum evaporation procedure at approximately 50 °C. Experts refer to this process as evaporation or concentration. The result is a high-quality milk concentrate, rich in nutrients and ready for further processing
At the mixing facility, various ingredients—such as milk concentrates, fats, and other additives—are combined to create the final product
The order of ingredient additions, temperature, and mixing time are essential to achieving the desired properties in the powdered infant formula. Before spray drying, the product undergoes rehomogenization to ensure even distribution of fats and additives with the milk. Depending on specific requirements, the "wet formula" may then be further processed through emulsification, pasteurization, or ultra-pasteurization for optimal quality and safety
Powdered infant formulas are created through the spray drying process. In this method, the mixed concentrate is sprayed as a fine mist from the top of a cylindrical spray tower, dramatically increasing the surface area of each droplet for rapid moisture removal. Purified air, heated to 200°C, flows through the tower, causing the droplets to gradually settle as the water evaporates. Spray drying is a gentle drying technique, as the evaporating water cools the milk particles, ensuring that the powder itself is not exposed to excessive heat
The formula is then dried using a continuous belt system, ensuring gradual and thorough dehydration. The resulting powdered infant formula dissolves easily in water, making it quick and convenient to prepare
Infant formula is carefully packed in cans using our unique Single Can Security (SCS) technology, ensuring maximum safety and quality. Our product is ready for your most precious little ones!
